1995 Downloads : Portable Document Format (PDF)

In response to numerous requests I have decided to make sections of West Midlands Rock (1995) available as individual pdf downloads. The guide is long out of print and many people are struggling to find second hand copies.

I am charging a small fee for most of the pdf files and the funds will be used to maintain this website which will continue in the absence of a new guide to provide access to free updates. The 1995 guide to Pontesford Rocks remains as a free download.

How can I pay?

I am using a Pay Pal payment system in an effort to keep prices to a reasonable level. You will not need a Pay Pal account as secure payments can be made (on the Pay Pal website) via master card, switch, visa, amex and maestro.

How does it work?

Click Add to Basket for the pdf download(s) that you require and click Secure Checkout in the new window that appears. You will then be taken to the Pay Pal website where you can make a secure payment for the total amount that you have agreed to pay. Once your payment has been confirmed, click the Continue to Download link and you will be automatically provided with a link to the 1995 pdf download(s) that you have paid for and you will be able to access and print the documents for yourself.

How long will it take?

Once your payment has been made the process is instant. You will also receive a copy of the download link and a receipt via e-mail. You will only be able to download the pdfs for a limited time (48 hours). Should you experience any difficulty you can email for support here.

Is there anything else I need to know?

You will need Adobe Reader installed on your computer to download the files. The larger files will take a few minutes to download on a modem.

The downloads are reproductions from the 1995 guide which have been converted into pdf's. Each download contains all of the original maps and diagrams but to keep the files to a manageable size there are only one or two action photographs for each crag (there are no photographs for Southstone Rock). The information provided in these downloads is now 10 years old and it has not been checked for any changes since it was first published in 1995. Climbers are therefore advised to use these downloads in conjunction with the free updates which provide details of any changes in access arrangements, any new routes etc.

The 1995 downloads are copyright documents and they are provided for personal use only. They should not be copied, reproduced or re-circulated under any circumstances.
